|
The Exchange Club of Springs Valley extends an invitation to participate in the 40th Annual Pumpkin Festival Parade. The 2007 Great Pumpkin Parade is scheduled for Sunday October 7, 2007. This year's parade has the potential to be one the best ever. The Springs Valley Exchange Club is celebrating its 40th Pumpkin Festival, the Town of French Lick is celebrating its 150th birthday, the Springs Valley School Corporation is celebrating it 50 birthday and the Indiana Railway is celebrating 100 years. A 10 day celebration is being planned with many great events taking place. Everything will culminate with The Great Pumpkin Parade on Sunday and a town birthday bash. All types of entries are invited to participate and trophies will be awarded. All entries will receive a Certificate of Appreciation for their effort. There is a $5 entry fee due at sign up. The theme for this years parade "The Best is Yet to Come" encompasses all the milemarkers for the town and organizations. We encourage floats depicting or following the theme for any of these great events. The parade begins at 2:00 PM (EST) and will start in West Baden and end at On The Green in French Lick. The Exchange Club reserves the right to refuse any entry. Trophies will be presented at 5:00PM (EST) at On The Green. A giant birthday cake will be served, and our own Wright Brothers will be performing in a free concert.
